The Scanner Software: How it works, where it works, and how do I get it?
There are numerous barcode scanning solutions in the various "market place" venues for smartphones and all of them can work. Simply search "QR Code" in your device's marketplace/appstore.
Barcode Actions:
Mobile barcodes are widely used for fast and easy access to mobile content. By scanning a barcode, you can initiate various events on your mobile phone:
- Go to a mobile website Decodes a web site address (URL) and connects you to the internet with your mobile browser
- Send SMS Decode a pre-written SMS from a mobile barcode, and gives you the ability to preview and send the SMS message.
- Make a phone call Initiate a phone call to a phone number or save this number to the contacts library.
- Save or call contact details Decodes contact information from a mobile barcode to add contact information to a mobile address book or to dial a number.
- Display text Presents on-screen messages or information contained in the mobile barcode.
